Kazakhstanis will receive back more than 1.2 billion tenge in total for heating as a result of a recalculation. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

This was announced by the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy.

What is the recalculation amount?

"Following the results of the 2025–2026 heating season, natural monopoly entities recalculated payments for thermal energy for a total of 1,217.02 million tenge, including VAT," the statement says.

According to the committee, the corresponding amount is displayed as a separate line in the consumer's personal account as an advance payment.

Which regions have no individual recalculation?

In Karaganda, Ulytau and Zhetisu regions, no individual recalculation is provided, since the cost of heat supply services was calculated taking into account the actual outdoor air temperature.

How were payments calculated in Astana?

In the city of Astana, payments for the 2025–2026 heating season were adjusted monthly throughout the season depending on the actual outdoor air temperature, the committee says.

Recalculation in the previous season

As for the results of the 2024–2025 heating season, consumers without thermal energy metering devices received a recalculation totaling 1,554.7 million tenge.
