The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has amended the procedure for filling out a passenger customs declaration for express cargo. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the amendment, the customs declaration must include information about the IMEI codes of mobile phones and tablets with cellular communication function. For now, this requirement applies only to the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
This requirement was introduced due to the existing procedure for registration and verification of legal use of mobile phones and tablets imported from abroad into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
