In the Abai region, the first two renovated railway stations have been put into operation under the railway station modernization program. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The railway station at the 'Aul' station was built in 1929, while the Belagash station has a history dating back to 1914. Extensive renovation works were carried out at both facilities.
During the renovation, the roof was replaced, and interior and exterior finishing works were performed. Engineering networks for water supply, sewerage, ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and electricity were upgraded. Passenger platforms were reconstructed, and the adjacent territory was landscaped.
This project is the first stage of the railway infrastructure modernization program in the Abai region. The renovated stations aim to improve passenger service quality and enhance the region's transport connectivity.
