The owner of a truck that damaged part of a control arch on the Almaty-Korgas highway will be obliged to compensate for the damage. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The incident occurred today at the 120th kilometer of this road. The driver of a Shacman truck forgot to lower the body. While passing under the arch, the body hit it.
Specialists of KazAvtoZhol promptly arrived at the scene and restored traffic. "According to preliminary information, there were no casualties as a result of the incident," the company's specialists said.
Currently, the police are investigating the circumstances of the incident. The owner of the truck is obliged to compensate for the costs of repairing the damaged arch.
