In Kazakhstan, about 70 medical points will be installed on road sections where accidents are frequent. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Health, as part of modernizing the system of medical care for injured patients, a network of regional trauma centers will be created by 2027, and anti-shock departments will be modernized.
It is also planned to strengthen emergency medical care and improve injury prevention measures.
The ministry noted that today more than 1,500 traumatologists provide specialized care. There are 81 trauma points, over 4,000 specialized beds, and 260 medical organizations in the country.
Work continues to strengthen the personnel potential and develop the infrastructure of the service.
One of the main directions is the creation of a network of regional trauma centers. Such centers have already been opened in Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, and Balkhash. By 2027, it is planned to expand the network in other regions of the country.
Special attention is paid to the development of emergency medical care. It is planned to re-equip 210 anti-shock offices in admission departments with modern Trauma rooms, as well as to create 69 support medical points on sections of highways with frequent accidents and 60 seasonal medical points in tourist areas.
