Zhezkazgan Airport has resumed normal operations after an aviation incident. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Nurlan Lebayev, General Director of Zhezkazgan Air, stated that after the aviation incident involving an An-12 aircraft on the territory of Zhezkazgan Airport, all work to ensure flight safety was completed in a short time.

"Today the airport operates in normal mode, flight services are provided without restrictions," said Lebayev.

"Thanks to the coordinated actions of the airport staff, the air harbor's operations were quickly restored. Specialists completed the entire range of necessary measures in a short time, ensuring the safety of infrastructure and the airport's readiness for further use," he added.

Currently, the airport continues to receive and dispatch flights. Passengers can use airport services as usual.

Recall that on July 10, an An-12 aircraft encountered an emergency situation in Zhezkazgan and made an emergency landing.
