Kairat Shaizhanov announced the completion of his civil service as akim of Zhezkazgan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The former city head published a corresponding public address to residents today, summing up his period of running the city.
According to the ex-akim, his time at the head of the city came with enormous responsibility and became a serious managerial school for him.
"During this time we raised many issues together and implemented many initiatives together. I became stronger where you supported me and stronger where you challenged me," Kairat Shaizhanov emphasized in his statement.
He also expressed gratitude to the townspeople for their trust, noting that Zhezkazgan is for him not just a place of work but his native city, which is inseparably linked with his fate and professional biography.
Biography and career
Kairat Shaizhanov was born on July 22, 1977. He holds higher education in two fields: "Industrial and Civil Construction" and "Jurisprudence." He began his career in the private sector, working in managerial positions at construction companies. He has significant experience in the system of state and quasi-state administration.
In 2007 he served as akim of the Zhezkazgan settlement in the city of Satpayev, and later held the position of deputy akim of Satpayev.
In 2013 he moved to the position of head of the communal services department at JSC "Kazakhstan Center for Modernization and Development of Housing and Communal Services" in Astana. Later he became general director of a specialized scientific and technical center.
From November 2015 to June 2017 he held the post of akim of the Osakarov district of the Karaganda region. In 2015 he also briefly headed LLP "Alem-stroy."
Tenure as akim of Zhezkazgan
Kairat Shaizhanov held the position of akim of the city of Zhezkazgan since June 2022, having worked in that post for four years.
