A driver in the Zhetysu region has been held administratively liable and banned from driving for using fake state license plates. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the city of Zharkent, police officers detected a case of driving a car with a state registration plate belonging to another vehicle.
During the inspection, it was found that the driver of an Audi 100 had installed a state plate belonging to a Toyota Camry on his car and drove around the city. The offense was detected by police officers, and the vehicle was stopped.
The driver was brought to administrative responsibility, and the materials were sent to court. As a result of the case review, the Panfilov District Court found the driver guilty and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative arrest.
In addition, the man was deprived of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one year. The fake state registration plate was confiscated and is subject to destruction in accordance with the established procedure.
The police warn that using state registration plates belonging to another vehicle is a gross violation.
