A man died from a stab wound during a domestic quarrel in Zhetysu region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The incident occurred on June 15 in Koksu district. According to police, a 44-year-old man died from a stab wound. His 41-year-old wife has been detained as a suspect.

The investigation revealed that the conflict arose on domestic grounds. The woman stabbed her husband in the abdomen. The victim was taken to the hospital, but doctors could not save his life.

Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway against the suspect. If proven guilty, she faces charges under Article 99, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (murder), which carries a penalty of 8 to 15 years in prison.

According to the police department, this family had previously been under police scrutiny. There had been several complaints of domestic violence against them, but no specific measures were taken.
