Two Chevrolet Cobalt cars collided in the Zhetysu region, killing 6 people. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Another person was taken to a medical facility with various injuries, the regional police reported.
The tragic incident occurred on the 110th kilometer of the "Saryozek – Koktal" highway.
"According to preliminary data, the driver of one of the cars drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a car coming from the opposite direction," the message said.
A criminal case has been opened on this fact. Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
