A fire broke out in a barrack-type house designed for four apartments in the village of Baktybay, Eskeldi district, Zhetysu region, killing three children. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The fire occurred on the morning of September 25. The report of the fire was received at 07:34. The fire engulfed one of the apartments over an area of about 70 square meters.
Three children remained inside. Rescuers who arrived at the scene found their bodies during extinguishing. The victims were one, six, and eight years old.
Their mother and a 13-year-old child managed to escape from the house. The fire was localized at 08:17. 16 employees of the Emergency Situations Department and five units of equipment worked at the scene.
