Train driver in Zhetisu region takes lone four-year-old child aboard locomotive

In the Zhetisu region, a freight train driver spotted a four-year-old child walking alone near the railway and took the child into the locomotive cabin. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The press service of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" reported the incident. It occurred on September 20 at around 12:30 on the Tauarasy – Ainabulak section of the Saryozek – Ushtobe route.

"The train was moving at a speed of about 38 km/h. The driver applied service braking, stopped the train and took the child into the locomotive cabin. He reported this to the train dispatcher," the statement said.

After making sure the child was safe, the driver handed the child over to the duty officer at Ainabulak station. The station employee contacted the child's parents.
