Since the beginning of the year, more than 200 cases of smoking in public places and throwing cigarette butts on the ground have been recorded in the Zhetysu region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Cameras of the Police Operational Control Center help identify such violations. Video surveillance systems allow officers to record violations, establish the identities of citizens and take measures provided for by law.

Police noted that discarded cigarette butts pollute streets and worsen the appearance of the city. Residents were urged to take a more responsible attitude towards public space and consider the interests of others.

Work to identify and suppress such offenses continues. At the same time, the department emphasized that maintaining cleanliness depends not only on cameras and police control, but also on the everyday behavior of citizens.

Police reminded of the need to comply with the ban on smoking in designated places, not to throw cigarette butts on the ground and to maintain order in public spaces.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that 928 administrative offenses related to pollution of public places were recorded in Astana. The akim of the capital, Zhenis Kassymbek, urged residents to treat urban infrastructure with care.
