The video circulated on social media shows a deep pit near the plant filled with an unknown liquid. According to the author of the video, an oil-like liquid is constantly spilled in this place.
Due to this situation, the regional ecology department has started inspection work. "Currently, the ecology department is conducting an unscheduled inspection of Zhetisu Mai LLP. As part of the inspection, specialists from the department's laboratory and analytical control division took soil samples for laboratory testing," the agency reported.
According to the department, if violations of environmental legislation requirements are identified as a result of the inspection, appropriate measures will be taken. Environmentalists promised to provide additional information on the results of the inspection and the measures taken.
