The Financial Monitoring Agency has announced that investigative actions are being carried out against the head of Vostok Engineering LLC. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Between 2020 and 2023, the LLC provided technical supervision for the construction of seven socially significant facilities located in the East Kazakhstan Region and the Abai Region. The company's responsibilities included monitoring the volume, quality, and compliance of construction and installation works with design and estimate documentation, as well as confirming the actual work performed during the construction of sports and recreation complexes, water supply facilities, and bank protection structures.
"However, despite receiving payment for the specified services, proper control over the construction was not carried out. The head of the enterprise signed acts containing false information about the volumes of work performed," the statement said.
During a search, copies of seals and fake acts were found. The damage caused to the state exceeded 1.2 billion tenge. The head of the LLC was put on the wanted list, and with court approval, a preventive measure in the form of detention was applied.
