The new Eurasian film 'Postman of Victory' has hit the big screen. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The film is a joint project of filmmakers from Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. It depicts events that took place in Belarus in 1943.
Main character and plot
The main character is an 18-year-old postman Azamat Dospanov, who daily risks his life delivering letters to the front line. When a Soviet plane carrying secret cargo crashes, Azamat becomes a guide for Soviet intelligence officers and confronts German saboteurs.
Actors and creative team
The main role was played by Kazakh actor Alikhan Nurzhauov. He said that he performed the stunts himself during filming. Executive producer and screenwriter Aidar Batalov noted that the idea for the film emerged after the 80th anniversary of Victory Day.
Filming and distribution
The filming lasted a year and a half. The film will be shown on more than 1,000 screens in seven Eurasian countries, with a budget of approximately 526 million tenge.
