Kazakhstan plans to double the volume of raw material processing in light industry by 2030. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The comprehensive plan for the development of light industry until 2030 was discussed at a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin. The plan includes 28 measures to support domestic producers, combat shadow imports, attract investment, and develop Kazakh brands.
"By 2030, the task is to increase the volume of raw material processing by 1.5-2 times, create about 40 thousand jobs, and implement 35 investment projects," said Zhumangarin.
In addition, it is planned to expand state support measures for enterprises and reduce the cost of product certification.
