The participation of young people from around the world in the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg "breaks" information efforts aimed at isolating Russia. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The statement was made by Sergei Novikov, head of the Russian Presidential Directorate for Public Projects, according to RIA Novosti.
According to Novikov, as part of the International Youth Festival, an "Alley of Cultural Code" was solemnly laid on the territory of Ural Federal University (UrFU).
"Russia is a country of opportunities. Participants are saying this from the stage, and since it is true, they are not shy about saying it. Therefore, in my opinion, the best way to counter attempts to isolate our country is that people come and are ready to express their opinion about how Russia is developing," Novikov told journalists.
The International Youth Festival is being held in Yekaterinburg from September 11 to 17, with 10,000 people from 191 countries taking part.
