In the Panfilov district of the Zhetysu region, a bridge was washed away by water. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Due to rainfall and slope runoff, the water level in the Burkhan River rose. As a result, the bridge at the 3rd kilometer of the regional road 'Zharkent – Taldy' was washed away. Traffic has been temporarily restricted, the akimat of Zharkent city reported.

To carry out restoration work, 14 personnel and 8 units of emergency equipment have been mobilized. Work is ongoing. According to the 'Department of Passenger Transport and Highways of Zhetysu Region', restoration work is planned to be completed today, after which the 'Zharkent – Taldy' road will be opened.

Recall that after the rains, the Usek River in the same area overflowed. Yesterday, rescuers safely rescued two teenagers from the river with rising water levels.
