Meteorologists have issued a storm warning for June 11 across 17 regions of Kazakhstan and Astana. Several areas are expected to experience thunderstorms, strong winds, hail and squalls, while in the east of the country the air temperature will rise to +35 degrees. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

In the capital, rain, thunderstorms and strengthening of the south-west wind up to 15–20 m/s are forecast. High fire danger persists.

In the Akmola region, rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds are expected. In Kokshetau, precipitation is forecast in the morning and afternoon.

In the Almaty region, as well as in Almaty and Konayev, rain and thunderstorms are expected. In the foothill and mountainous areas, heavy downpours, hail and squally winds up to 20 m/s are possible.

In the mountains of Ile-Alatau, heavy precipitation and thunderstorms are also forecast. In the north of the region, extreme fire danger persists.

The hottest weather is expected in the Abai and East Kazakhstan regions. During the day, the air will warm up to +35 degrees.

Along with the heat, short-term rain, thunderstorms and wind with gusts up to 20 m/s are forecast. In a number of areas, extreme fire danger persists.

The most difficult weather conditions are expected in the north of the country. Meteorologists warn of thunderstorms, hail, squalls and strong winds.

In the North Kazakhstan region, wind gusts can reach 25 m/s. In the Kostanay and Pavlodar regions, heavy rain and hail are possible.

In the Karaganda region, short-term rain and thunderstorms are forecast. Extreme fire danger persists.

In the Ulytau region, thunderstorms are expected, and a dust storm is possible in the south of the region.

In the West Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Aktobe and Mangystau regions, rain, thunderstorms and strengthening of wind up to 15–20 m/s are expected.

In the West Kazakhstan region, hail and squalls are additionally forecast.

In the south and southeast of the country, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected, mainly in mountainous and foothill areas.

In the Zhetysu region, meteorologists warn of heavy rain, hail and squally winds. In the east of the region, gusts can reach 28 m/s.

In the Turkistan region and Shymkent, high and extreme fire danger persists.

High or extreme fire danger has been declared in the Abai, East Kazakhstan, Akmola, Aktobe, Almaty, Zhambyl, Zhetysu, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Pavlodar, Turkistan, Ulytau regions, as well as in Astana, Taraz, Shymkent, Semey and Ust-Kamenogorsk.
