The Embassy of Japan in Kazakhstan has warned that its visa application system is changing. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Starting September 23, a system of issuing numbered tickets for visa applications will be introduced.
Tickets will be distributed in the embassy's waiting room starting at 9:30 a.m. on the day applications are accepted.
"Those who receive a ticket do not need to sit in the waiting room; they can come to the reception windows at any time before 12:00 and submit their application. We note that a numbered ticket grants the right to submit a visa application, but reception is carried out in order of queue," embassy specialists say.
The ticket is valid only on the day it is issued. A ticket is not required when collecting the results of a visa application.
The embassy is crowded on Mondays and Fridays.
Applications accepted without a ticket:
- 01visa applications based on an invitation from the Japanese government or state institutions;
- 02visa applications for the purpose of receiving medical treatment in Japan;
- 03visa applications submitted via verbal note.
