President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov congratulated President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the fraternal Kazakh people on the successful holding of elections of deputies of the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The congratulatory message reads: "I am deeply confident that the Kurultai, formed as a result of the free expression of citizens' will, will make a significant contribution to strengthening the statehood of the Republic of Kazakhstan, improving legal and socio-political institutions, as well as ensuring sustainable socio-economic development of the country. I note with satisfaction that the consistent reforms carried out under your leadership serve the long-term interests of the state, improving the well-being of the people and the further prosperity of the country."
The President of Kyrgyzstan expressed hope that relations of strategic partnership and alliance will continue to be consistently strengthened, filled with new content for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries, as well as in the interests of ensuring peace, stability and development throughout Central Asia.
"I wish you good health, well-being and success in your state activities, and the fraternal people of Kazakhstan - peace and prosperity," Sadyr Japarov wished.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that voting in the elections to the Kurultai in Kazakhstan had ended. Polling stations in the country closed.
Preliminarily, the turnout in the elections in Kazakhstan at 20:00 was 74.19%.
The most voters were in the Turkestan region, with a turnout of 92.16%.
In Astana, 51.67% voted, in Shymkent - 75.52%.
The southern capital retained the lowest position: in Almaty, turnout was 43.23%.
