The akimat of the Kyzylorda region announced the official start of construction of the Burabay-Zhalgyzagash mining and processing plant. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The large-scale and modern project is being implemented by Liaoning Hongda Group in the Shalkiya settlement of the Zhanakorgan district. 138 billion tenge has been allocated for the construction of the mining and processing plant.
Once the project is fully launched, it is planned to produce 210 thousand tons of lead-zinc raw materials and 20 tons of silver per year. Most importantly, more than 550 new jobs will be created.
The mining and processing plant is planned to be built within the next two years and fully completed in 2028.
