In Zhanaozen, a metal fan severed the finger of a 7-month-old baby. A 7-month-old baby who sustained an injury at home was urgently delivered to the Zhanaozen multidisciplinary city hospital. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Nature of the injury
The baby's fingers were cut by a running metal fan. According to doctors, due to the absence of the distal part of the IV finger, a finger stump was formed. Since the distal part of the III finger was connected only by skin tissue, surgical treatment of the wound was performed and sutures were applied.
Treatment and observation
The baby was admitted to the traumatology department for further treatment and observation, doctors say. After inpatient treatment, the baby remained under the supervision of a traumatologist.
This incident once again highlights the danger of domestic injuries. Special attention must be paid to the safety of young children.
