New Zealand announced its 35th package of sanctions against Russia, including 33 individuals and entities. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the new sanctions target 33 individuals and entities suspected of involvement in the conflict in Ukraine. Specifically, the sanctions affect individuals and entities in the digital technology and military-industrial sectors.
The ministry did not name the specific individuals or organizations subject to the new sanctions. Additionally, sanctions were applied to a number of representatives from North Korea and Iran.
It is worth recalling that in May, New Zealand announced its 35th package of sanctions against Russia, which included 20 individuals and entities, including Russian organizations linked to the military-industrial complex.
Moscow has repeatedly stated that the sanctions pressure has not achieved the goals declared by the West. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the policy of containing and weakening Russia a long-term strategy for Western countries, noting that the sanctions have dealt a heavy blow to the global economy.
