Kazakhstan has opened 57 new schools for the new academic year. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The new schools can accommodate 62,000 students, which will reduce the burden on existing schools.

Most of the new schools were opened in Almaty city, West Kazakhstan, Almaty, Karaganda, Aktobe and Turkistan regions.

"They have conditions for conducting classes, sports, and developing students' creative and technical skills," said specialists from the Ministry of Education.

It is worth noting that in the 2026-2027 academic year, more than 8,000 schools will educate 4.1 million children, including over 380,000 first-graders.
