Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek announced how many students will be admitted to the new university opened on the president's instruction. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

In the new academic year, the Kazakh Research University of Artificial Intelligence in Astana will begin teaching students. According to the minister, about 600 students will be admitted.

400 students will be enrolled in the bachelor's program, 308 of whom will receive state grants. 100 people will be admitted to the master's program with Astana Hub and Alageum grants, as well as on a fee-paying basis, Nurbek said at today's government meeting.

In addition, Samruk-Kazyna will train 100 of its employees under the MBA AI+X program.

It should be noted that the Kazakh Artificial Intelligence Research University (Qazaq AI Research University / QAIRU) is located on the territory of the EXPO exhibition complex.
