The Borandy railway station in the Zhualy district of the Zhambyl region has been ceremonially put into operation after major repairs. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During the modernization, the station building was completely overhauled and engineering networks were updated. Exterior and interior finishing works were carried out in accordance with modern requirements, and the architectural appearance acquired a new character.
In addition, waiting rooms and passenger service areas were equipped with new equipment. Special waiting rooms were provided for people with special needs and passengers with children, creating a comfortable and barrier-free environment.
The station with a total area of 303.94 square meters serves an average of 54 passengers per day. The facility, which can accommodate 28 people at a time, employs 9 workers in one shift per day.
"I am confident that the renovated Borandy railway station will serve the country for many years, creating comfortable and safe conditions for district residents and passengers. This facility will contribute to the development of the region's transport infrastructure and improving the quality of services provided to the population," said Deputy Akim of the region Altai Ali.
It should be noted that in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, work on the modernization of the Borandy, Turksib, Taraz, Shu and Otar railway stations is being carried out in stages in the Zhambyl region.
