The ambulance service in Zhambyl region has been extensively upgraded. The keys to special vehicles of classes 'A' and 'B' were presented by regional governor Yerbol Karashukeyev. A total of 60 new vehicles were handed over to medical workers. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The new resuscitation vehicles were distributed between Taraz, districts of the region, and the air ambulance service.

Specifically, 33 vehicles were handed over to the Taraz city ambulance station, four to the air ambulance service, and the remaining 23 to district ambulance departments.

According to the akimat, the new vehicles include class 'A' and 'B' ambulances equipped with modern medical equipment, as well as special resuscitation vehicles for providing emergency resuscitation care to people in critical condition.

According to the chief physician of the regional ambulance station, Venera Balkybekova, 105 medical teams currently serve the population in the region. Doctors are 100% provided with video badges.

"Video badges are equipped with GPS navigation and an 'SOS' panic button. They allow police to immediately determine the location of the ambulance team in case of a threat," she emphasized.

In turn, the regional governor thanked medical workers for their work and professionalism and noted that work to strengthen the material and technical base of medical organizations will continue.

Recall that in June, medical organizations in Almaty region received 70 new sanitary ambulances. They were purchased under leasing — long-term rental with the option to buy.

According to the Ministry of Health, thanks to the modernization already carried out, the level of equipment of medical institutions in the region has reached 93%.
