A man in Zhambyl region has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping his relative. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The man committed violence against a second-grade student. According to information circulated on social media, the convict was the victim's cousin. The incident occurred at noon.
The convict entered the girl's house under the pretext of asking for the Wi-Fi password when her parents were not at home. An elderly grandfather and a baby in a cradle were present in the house. Taking advantage of the situation, the man committed the crime.
The criminal case was heard in the specialized inter-district court for criminal cases of Zhambyl region. The charge was under Part 4 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code "Violent acts of a sexual nature". The prosecutor demanded a life sentence.
The convict only partially admitted his guilt. The victim's side did not forgive him. "By the court verdict, the defendant was found guilty under Part 4 of Article 121 and sentenced to life imprisonment. The verdict has not entered into legal force," the court of Zhambyl region said.
