Doctors in the Zhambyl Region miraculously saved the life of a child who was on the brink of death. The toddler from the village of Aukatty accidentally fell into a pool located in the yard of the house. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Ministry of Health, at the time of the incident, the mother was inside the house breastfeeding her 7-month-old baby, while the toddler was in the yard with his 13-year-old brother.

"After some time, the older brother noticed the two-year-old in the water and immediately pulled him out of the pool. However, by that time the child was not breathing, and his body had turned blue. The mother tried to provide first aid on her own, but could not revive the child," the Ministry of Health reported.

Specialists from the rural medical outpatient clinic promptly arrived at the scene. Every second counted. The medics immediately began resuscitation efforts and did everything possible to restore the child's cardiac activity.

The child was then urgently transported to the Korday Central District Hospital. Doctors from the emergency and intensive care departments waged a real battle for the life of the young patient. Thanks to coordinated work, high qualifications, and prompt actions of the medical team, all necessary resuscitation measures were carried out.

"Today, the child's condition has stabilized. He continues to receive treatment and is under constant medical supervision. The child's relatives express sincere gratitude to the medical workers who performed a real miracle and gave the child a second chance at life," the ministry noted.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that in Kosshy, a 10-year-old boy died while swimming in the Nura–Ishim canal.
