In the Zhambyl region, a resident was brought to administrative responsibility for drinking alcoholic beverages in the presence of his minor child. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the specialized inter-district court for minors, a resident of Merki district, identified as S., drank alcohol at home in front of his underage son, negatively affecting the child's upbringing.
In this regard, an administrative protocol was drawn up against him under Part 1 of Article 127 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Failure to fulfill duties of raising a minor"), and the case was sent to court.
During the court hearing, the citizen fully admitted his guilt. The sanction of this article provides for a fine of 10 monthly calculation indices (MCI).
However, the court, taking into account his admission of guilt, the fact that the offense was committed for the first time, his positive reference, and the absence of aggravating circumstances, reduced the fine by 30 percent.
By court ruling, citizen S. was found guilty and fined 7 MCI, which amounts to 30,275 tenge.
