In the Zhambyl region, 504 counterfeit items worth almost 2 million tenge were seized in the first nine months of 2026. Following inspections, 16 violators were fined a total of more than 1.5 million tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The violations involved the illegal use of trademarks Apple, iPhone, AirPods, Splat, Hugo Boss and Puma. Unscheduled inspections were carried out after requests from representatives of rights holders.
In total, specialists conducted 16 inspections. As a result, 16 individuals were brought to administrative responsibility. The court reviewed all cases and imposed fines totaling 1,531,050 tenge.
In the same period last year, 403 counterfeit goods worth about 1.56 million tenge were seized in the region. Thus, the number of seized products increased by approximately 25%.
It should be noted that the data is based on information from the regional justice department. Efforts to combat counterfeit products continue, and inspections are conducted upon requests from rights holders.
