In Zhambyl district, a 62-year-old man was arrested for 10 days for violating a protection order regarding his former cohabitant. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The district court issued this decision on August 4, according to the prosecutor's office of Zhambyl region.
History of complaints and offenses
According to the agency, since the beginning of 2026, four reports of family-domestic conflicts were received at the woman's address. The prosecutor's office established that the man had been coming to his former cohabitant for several years, causing conflicts, threatening her family members, and using physical force against her. The woman has a disability.
Previously, the man had already been brought to administrative responsibility and a protection order had been issued against him. After repeated violation of its requirements, the court found the man guilty under Article 461 of the Administrative Offenses Code of Kazakhstan and imposed an administrative arrest for 10 days.
Previous incidents
Earlier, "Kursiv" wrote that in Almaty, police stopped a car with five young people and found an object resembling a pistol under the seat. According to preliminary data, they had previously approached passersby and displayed this object. The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
