In the Merke district of the Zhambyl region, the body of a 19-year-old woman was found. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Police opened a criminal case on the fact of suicide. However, relatives of Madina Avezova believe that a conflict between spouses could have caused the tragedy.
According to them, the 23-year-old husband of the deceased does not have a permanent job. On the day of the incident, he worked as a hired worker and earned some money. "With that money he bought 'Barney' sweets. Madina gave one to her son and ate one herself. Her husband came after and beat her," says the deceased's friend Nurila Arystanbek.
Madina had only a mother, no brothers or father. She was not in a legal marriage; the marriage was concluded according to religious rites, and the family had been together for 2 years. She had an 8-month-old son.
"There is no living place on my daughter's body. She did not take her own life; she was killed and hanged," says the girl's mother, Shakhlo Matyakupova.
According to relatives, the husband's relatives threatened and caused conflicts. Now the mother of the deceased needs a lawyer.
The police department of the Zhambyl region opened a criminal case. "A criminal case has been opened on the fact of suicide. Currently, all circumstances of the incident are being established during the investigation. Police officers are checking the arguments of all parties and studying available data. Every fact significant to the investigation will be given a legal assessment," the police said.
