In the Zhambyl region, patrol police officers rescued a 16-year-old teenager. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the regional police department, a city resident called the "102" hotline. They reported that the teenager was drowning in the lake and called for help.

"The teenager was fishing and fell into the river. In the middle of the water, his leg got stuck on a stone, and he could not get out," the police said.

Patrol police officers – senior police lieutenant Makhambet Shayanbayev and police lieutenant Kasymkhan Kalaubek – without hesitation jumped into the water and rescued the teenager. He was handed over to an emergency medical team.
