Kazakhstanis are receiving fake SMS messages about allegedly being enrolled in departmental educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the mailing is fake and has nothing to do with the ministry. The department urges citizens not to trust such messages, not to follow the links contained in them, not to disclose their personal data, and to use only official information.
"Currently, the admission campaign is still ongoing. All stages of competitive selection have not been completed. Admission is carried out within the established deadlines: from July 15 to 25. The final results of the admission campaign will be available exclusively in the applicant's personal account in the Qyzmet police information system after all stages of selection are completed and decisions are made by the admissions committees," the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.
The department urges citizens not to trust false information, not to follow links in SMS, not to transfer their personal data to third parties, and to use only official sources of information. All information about the admission campaign is published on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and in the Qyzmet police system.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Kazakhstani drivers were attacked by fake fines for toll roads. Currently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting operational search activities to identify the source of fake SMS. Citizens can report suspicious messages to the police by calling 102.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges applicants and their parents to trust only official sources of information and to check any suspicious messages. The results of the admission campaign will be published after July 25.
