Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Asqarbek Yertayev explained what happens if consent for personal data collection is not given under the new procedure for benefit payments. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to a government resolution, starting next year, when assigning 14 state benefits, adult family members and citizens applying for payments must consent to the collection and verification of their personal data.
"There is a clear norm in the law. If consent is not given, the social payment is suspended. We talk to the person to find out why they are not giving consent, we find out the reason," Yertayev said at a briefing at the central communications service.
It is worth noting that the government has approved the conditions for assigning, temporarily suspending, and fully terminating state benefits and social payments. Under the new rules, the social situation of citizens and the level of family well-being are assessed.
