Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Asqarbek Yertayev explained the procedure for checking the situation of benefit recipients. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Today, the socio-economic situation of each family is determined on the basis of the family's digital card.

"The family's digital card collects data from state databases and assesses the family's situation in several areas. These include employment, income, movable and immovable property, the presence of loans, level of education and other information. Thus, the system analyses everything and determines the social category of the person and the family," Yertayev said at today's meeting of the Kurultai.

From now on, instead of the social category of a family or person, there will be a need group. They are:

  • 01Group A – high level;
  • 02Group B – affluent level;
  • 03Group C – satisfactory level;
  • 04Group D – economically vulnerable level;
  • 05Group E – economically and socially vulnerable level.

Benefits are not provided to those in groups "A" and "B".

According to Yertayev, the socio-economic group of each family is checked monthly.

If those in group "B" fall into "C" for certain reasons, benefits are assigned automatically.

"According to the law, from 1 January 2027, second-tier banks, with the consent of the benefit recipient and his family members, will also provide information on bank accounts and deposits. Within this framework, the family's income and earnings will be taken into account," the minister concluded.
