Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said a package of missiles for Patriot systems has been agreed. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
“We agreed today on a package of missiles for Patriot systems, but I will not say with whom exactly we agreed,” Zelensky said during a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian community in the United States in New York. He published a video of the meeting on his Telegram channel.
However, Zelensky did not specify how many missiles Ukraine would receive as part of the package. Recently, he acknowledged that the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot shoot down ballistic missiles due to a shortage of air defense missiles.
Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Yehor Cherniev, in turn, said that the state of air defense systems in Ukraine is the worst since the conflict began.
