Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at a press conference in Oslo that Ukraine is ready to hold a trilateral meeting with Russia and the United States. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"I propose moving to trilateral negotiations at the level of heads of state. Ukraine has developed concrete proposals for achieving peace and wants them to be delivered to the Russian side tomorrow," Zelensky said.
On Tuesday, a meeting was held in Norway with the participation of Volodymyr Zelensky, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and US special envoy Steve Witkoff. Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of the US president, joined the negotiations online.
Moscow has previously stated its readiness to resume trilateral negotiations between Russia, the US and Ukraine. The possibility of holding a new round of negotiations in October is currently being discussed. The previous meeting in this format took place in February in Geneva.
