Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine will receive additional missiles for Patriot systems from the United States in the coming days. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Zelensky, the new aid package includes PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems. This was stated in a message published on the website of the "Suspilne" TV channel.
Zelensky also stated that the issue of producing Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine has been "politically resolved" with US President Donald Trump. On Wednesday, Trump said the US may issue a license for the production of Patriot missile launchers in Ukraine.
According to him, Ukraine will start production once it receives instructions on how to manufacture these missiles.
Licensed production of Patriot missile launchers under US license is established only in Japan and Germany. Russia considers arms supplies to Ukraine as hindering settlement, directly involving NATO countries in the conflict, and "playing with fire."
