Volodymyr Zelensky set a condition for Donald Trump to fulfill his call to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"If you ask us to help resolve this situation, of course, we will help as partners. But we ask you to declare an energy truce," he said in an interview with the Financial Times.
Zelensky said that if such an agreement cannot be reached, he would like to receive Patriot air defense systems.
In addition, in an interview with journalists, he accused Trump of deceiving him over restrictions imposed on the use of the Starlink service.
On Friday, October 9, a US delegation met with Ukrainian representatives in Miami. According to media reports, the meeting ended ahead of schedule. The reason appears to be the White House chief's agreement with Russia on the supply of diesel fuel.
Earlier, information circulated that Trump's representatives had warned that if strikes on Russian oil refineries did not stop, the transfer of intelligence data to Ukraine could be halted.
