Volodymyr Zelensky said that negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine may resume. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"I think the next stages of negotiations with the Russian side will resume. The question is in what format they will take place," Zelensky said during a meeting with journalists.

Earlier, Zelensky published an open letter on his official website, in which he proposed holding a meeting with Vladimir Putin on the territory of a third country and ending the conflict.

Commenting on this, Putin said that the letter contained elements of rudeness and currently sees no point in meeting with Zelensky.

The Russian side has repeatedly stated its support for resolving the Ukrainian crisis through negotiations. At the same time, Moscow noted that it relies on the mutual understandings reached at the summit of the presidents of Russia and the United States in Alaska, including the elimination of the root causes of the conflict in the form of threats to Russia's national security.

Since the beginning of the year, delegations from Russia and Ukraine have held three rounds of negotiations with the participation of the United States. The last meeting took place on February 17–18 in Geneva.
