A meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may take place next week during Zelensky's visit to the United States. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The Ukrainian TV channel "Suspilne" reported this citing sources in diplomatic circles. Ukrainian parliament member Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on Wednesday that Zelensky would travel to the United States this week. According to him, the visit will last about a week.
The TV channel's statement said: "Zelensky will meet with US President Donald Trump next week during his visit to America. Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to the United States is scheduled for July 28. As part of the visit, the Ukrainian president will attend the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham and then hold a direct meeting with US President Donald Trump."
This meeting could be an important step in the development of relations between the two countries. Previous meetings have discussed the situation in Ukraine and issues of bilateral cooperation.
