Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth is not agreeing to supply Ukraine with missiles for Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

“We have been waiting for Mr. Hegseth's agreement on the supply of missiles for Patriot and NASAMS systems for about a month. I have instructed our team to raise this issue again,” Zelensky wrote on social media.

According to him, Ukraine is also negotiating arms supplies with other countries.

Earlier, during a visit to Finland, Zelensky stated that there were agreements with European countries on missile supplies, but US approval is required for their delivery.

On October 19, the Kyiv Independent reported that Pete Hegseth was deliberately delaying the delivery of a large batch of Patriot missiles to Ukraine. According to the publication, the missiles have already been paid for by Kyiv's allies.
