Kazakhstani track and field athlete Yasmina Toksanbayeva finished first in the marathon race walking distance with a result of 3:22.20. She claimed Kazakhstan's ninth gold at the 2026 Asian Games. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The 21-year-old athlete finished almost four minutes ahead of the silver medalist. And ten minutes ahead of the bronze medalist.
Until now, Kazakhstan had two bronze medals in women's race walking at the Asian Games. They were won by Svetlana Tolstaya in Bangkok 1998 and Busan 2002. Toksanbayeva's gold is the first!
