Servers storing personal data of Yandex users in Kazakhstan are operating normally. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Digital Development had earlier noted that disruptions in the Yandex service caused concern among the population of Kazakhstan.
"The servers intended for storing personal data of Kazakhstani users are located on the territory of the country and are operating normally," the Ministry of Digital Development reported.
However, the ministry noted that this does not mean the entire platform operates autonomously; some components required for providing taxi and delivery services are located outside Kazakhstan.
The ministry emphasized that ensuring uninterrupted operation of services is of great importance for users.
"Currently, Yandex is carrying out restoration work. The ministry is coordinating with the company and Kazakhstani infrastructure organizations to provide the necessary support. In addition, work is underway with other taxi and delivery service platforms to ensure stable operation under increased load," the ministry said.
Earlier, Yandex warned users about disruptions in the service's operation.
