A review of the new SkyNomad N90 crossover has been published on the Pandaway YouTube channel. The three-row Xiaomi flagship features an unusual cabin layout and high capacity, with Li Auto L9 and Aito M9 named among its main rivals. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Auto bloggers believe that it will be difficult to find an analogue for the new product in terms of the combination of characteristics.
Dimensions and platform
The SkyNomad N90 is comparable in size to large minivans: length is 5.28 m, width is 2 m, and the wheelbase exceeds 3 m. At the same time, the gross weight does not exceed 3.5 tons, so category B is sufficient for driving.
The model is based on the Xiaomi Kun platform. Engineers made the rear electric drive more compact and moved the battery control unit to the rear. Thanks to this, the floor turned out to be almost flat along the entire length of the cabin, with a thickness of 298 mm.
Capacity and interior
The interior length reaches 2.76 m, and a child about 120 cm tall can walk almost at full height. The second row can be moved almost 90 cm, the third row more than 70 cm, changing the cabin configuration.
It is the capacity that has become the main surprise of the new SkyNomad N90. Even with the third row raised, the trunk fits seven 20-inch suitcases, and seven people can be inside at the same time. The review authors believe that in this indicator, the N90 surpasses many minivans, including the Toyota Alphard and Nissan Elgrand.
Electronics and eFuse system
The cabin is literally packed with electronics. The crossover received:
But the most unusual feature, according to the authors, is the complete rejection of traditional fuses. Instead, an electronic eFuse system is used, which monitors the electrical network about 100 times per second and disconnects a damaged circuit in less than 100 microseconds — about a hundred times faster than conventional fuses.
The built-in refrigerator can operate for up to a day after the car is turned off, consuming about 1 kWh.
Price and competitors
The top version is preliminarily estimated at 300 thousand yuan (about 22 million tenge). At the same time, auto bloggers suggest that by the start of sales, the price may drop by another 10–15 thousand yuan.
It is too early to make final conclusions, but reviewers believe that in its price segment, the N90 will be difficult to find a direct analogue. In their opinion, the model offers more spacious second and third rows than Li Auto and Aito, with equipment comparable to premium cars.
Earlier, Kursiv Avto reported that Xiaomi Skynomad hybrid crossovers will be able to run on AI-92.
