Ukraine's budget deficit will reach 15% of gross domestic product (GDP) next year. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Ukraine's Ministry of Finance, the country's expected GDP next year will be 11.144 trillion hryvnias, or 248.53 billion dollars.
"At the same time, the budget deficit, estimated at 1.666 trillion hryvnias, or approximately 37 billion dollars, will amount to 15% of Ukraine's GDP," the ministry reported.
Earlier, Ukraine's Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi stated that the country plans to spend about 44% of GDP, or 109 billion dollars, on the military sector next year.
In general, the Kyiv regime is trying to cover the budget deficit through external financing.
Meanwhile in the West, the allocation of new aid packages continues after lengthy discussions, with partners warning that Ukraine must intensify its search for self-financing sources.
